Arm Cannon
Shoots an oval pellet of plasma horizontally. Mega Man can only fire three of these at a time.
Use this Weapon on: Top Man (14), Magnet Man (14), Air Man (14), Crash Man (14)
Spark Shock
Emits a large sphere of energy horizontally. This weapon can be used to 'freeze' certain enemies. I will include a list of them here.
Use this Weapon on: Spark Man (7), Magnet Man (4), Air Man (7), Bubble Man (7)
Search Snake
Releases small snakes which travel along the ground and climb up walls. Mega Man can only shoot three snakes at a time, which can be a problem because they travel relatively slowly.
Use this Werapon on: Snake Man (7), Gemini Man (6), Wood Man (7), Quick Man (7)
Needle Cannon
Fires small needle-shaped objects horizontally. The only Robot Master weapon with rapid-fire, meaning that you can simply hold down the fire button and the weapon will continue to fire.
Use this Weapon on: Snake Man (7), Wood Man (7), Flash Man (7)
Hard Knuckle
Fires a fist-shaped projectile horizontally. While this weapon is very slow to move, it is the only one you can control in flight. By pressing up or down, the Hard Knuckle will move slightly in that direction. Mega Man can only fire one Hard Knuckle at a time, and cannot fire again while the Hard Knuckle is on the screen.

Top Spin
This weapon is very different. It does not fire a projectile weapon, nor does it create a sheild around Mega Man. Mega Man must jump, then press the fire button, and Mega Man will spin like a top on his way down. If this weapon can be used on an enemy, it will usually destroy it in one shot, using just one energy notch. But if the weapon cannot be used on the enemy, it will not cause any damage, but will use half or more of the top spin energy. For Robot Masters, sometimes this weapon can be used without draining any energy, and other times all of it's energy can be drained in one spin, there is apparently no pattern, the amount of Top Spin energy drained is random.

Magnet Missile
Shoots a Magent out in seek of metal enemies. Travels horizontally, but turns once vertically (up or down) to locate metallic objects. If the Magnet Missile is close enough to an enemy when it turns vertical it's tracking is very fine.
Use this Weapon on: Hard Man (7), Metal Man (7), Air Man (7)
Gemini Laser
Shoots a horizontal beam of laser light energy. If the beam hits a wall or another inanimate object, if will reflect off at a 45 degree angle. Mega Man cannot fire again while the laser is on the screen.
Use this Weapon on: Needle Man (4), Flash Man (7), Quick Man (7)
Shadow Blade
This weapon is basically a ninja-star with a boomerang feature. When fired, the Shadow Blade travels horizontally, vertially, or diagonally (depending on how you are pressing the direction control) for a short distance then returns.
Use this Weapon on: Spark Man (7), Magnet Man (4), Heat Man (7), Bubble Man (7)
